I'm afraid I might indeed use him for something dood, sorry to say.
This is my first mech design that I can actually call my own original style. (Fenrir was obvious ZOE looking).

So I'm gonna try and expand of this design concept and make more of them.

I'm definitely inspired by game and anime, as well as other artists here on DA.

Heres a lil breakdown of each main part if it helps

Back = Tombstone

Chest = Redesign of my Varon's chest + bomb armor to cover the mouth of the face.

The skirting behind the legs = Pengiun suit / robes

The front ankle armor = shoes that aren't tied up and instead let the cover behind the lace stick out.

Toes = Kos Mos ver 4 shoes.

Pelvis = Muv Luv mecha

Abdomen = Evangelion /Scales

Wings = ZOE Nephtis

As for the shoulders, I just kept sketching until I found something that I liked.

i can see the influence of fashion garments in the skirting, your references show in your design, nicely used and nicely developed, thanks for your reflection towards your inspiration and for sharing it.

i always believed that an artist is only as good as their references, and you have shown that you use them wisely.

keep it up. id like to see how you progress from deviating from pencil and straight to digital its a fun visual.

it is definitely to use references when concepting, as it will show in your designs, if you use your imagination too much [not that its a bad thing] mistakes will be developed and you will just keep adding mistakes on top of the ones you started with.

this is why an artist is only as good as the references they use.. the more ammo you have the better your concepts will flow off the visual.. keep up the direction and keep pushing your boundaries with real life inspirations..

also i love your style!! its very refreshing and dynamic. thnks for sharing your view here with all of us. your work is not going un noticed nor is it missed ever. so from one hobbyist to another who maakes our robo dreams our reality keep kicking ass!!!
