Description Contest entry for the Cybertronians DA group OC and Canon contest.

My OC from my fanfic 'Wildfire: Benevolent Renegade', Victoria Marcus, is pictured here with her guardian Ironhide.

About the OC: Vic is a reckless, sarcastic and headstrong 23 year old woman who ended up a mute due to a street racing accident but being mute doesn't stop her from signing her opinions. She is brash and blunt, never exactly got down the art of subtly. She's not all bad however, she's also rather protective and caring when she's not being argumentative and aggressive. Ironhide ends up having to put up with her, needless to say, a lot of arguments happen and she normally doesn't win them.

Victoria Marcus belongs to me
Ironhide belongs to Hasbro, though ya knew that one XD

Thanks hun, of course this isn't a pure render, every render needs post-processing to make it acceptable. Though this Ironhide model lacks much detail, working on getting a .max one I have converted and rigged.

Good luck with modifying the model, then! I bet 'Hide would look insanely amazing once you're done with the details.

Thank you, glad ya like it, I'm actually working on getting a more detailed model of Ironhide, this one's good but, well, it's static. Also need to rig it for poses, ah what I do for 3D XD.

Garnet-Huntress In reply to Chukkz [2010-04-19 13:16:01 +0000 UTC]

It is? Hmmmm. . .odd, don't know why seem many have issues seeing contrasts on their monitors and things turn out dark on their end, I never seem to have that issue for some reason.

I think its a LCD thing... >.< I heard they are very dark compared to oldschool CRT's or Plasmascreens.

Ah, I got a plasma screen myself, then again, I also messed with the settings on mine to get it just right due to my poor eyesight. Well, that's one reason for me to never get an LCD screen XD, I gotta have decent levels or I can't see!

Chukkz In reply to Garnet-Huntress [2010-04-19 16:20:18 +0000 UTC]

Actually I need need need to have the LCD here on 100% (which is too bright for my taste, I use the Nvidia control panel to regulate it down a little itty bitty) because otherwise it starts emitting squeaky noises. >.<

The lighting thing, I heard that last week when they were featuring 3D TV technology and stated that the Plasma screens could be saved from extinction through this, as they give a much better light.

I hope plasma screens keep being available, love them, colors are always so vivid, great for working on.

A. . . squeaking monitor? Dude, if my monitor started squeaking at me you would see one annoyed redhead XD

They could even become popular again due to the 3D thing, the main critique point was that the current TV#s are not bright enough... so this feature could come in as a saviour now.

And yeah you bet! When I bought it (same model) it was broken the first place and always squealed like a little piggy, I guess it was a monday-model (german slang for a car thats new but does only have punctures, so it could have been assembled on a monday morning when they were not fully awake yet... )

After the weekend I was down with my nerves and returned it, the guy actually tried it out to see if it does what I claim it does. >.< And as he wasn't able to hear anything he just offered an exchange model. Now this does not squeak, but it starts making a (more silent) similar noise when I turn down the brightness lower then 100%. So I keep it like that. Its apparently a known issue that goes through all manufacturers, you can be lucky and notice nothing but you can also draw the black peter and get one of those (which vendors and manufacturers usually seem to exchange without much complaint as they know of it).

See, I got really sensitive hearing, Seriously, if my housemate has headphones on in the living room, which is a good 30 feet from where my room is with two walls and a kitchen between them, an' has them up too loud I can actually hear 'em, I gotta have silent monitors and computers cause of it otherwise I got completely nuts.

Monday Model, never heard that term before, but it does makea lotta sense.

Trust me, that noise would drive anyone crazy... if they could hear it. Because, my family actually did not hear a bit of it. O_o

Chukkz In reply to Garnet-Huntress [2010-04-20 12:06:46 +0000 UTC]

Oh no no lol... I could hear from a few meters faintly, but the issue is when you would sit infront mainly. I am used to my computers noise and all that so I am not really annoyed that easily. But that noise just... ack. Very high pitched. Which also explains why noone could hear it.

Garnet-Huntress In reply to Chukkz [2010-04-20 12:17:24 +0000 UTC]

Ah, high pitched noises, goodness, those always give me headaches, then again I can hear dog whistles (Man those hurt) so anything high pitch, GAH!

Chukkz In reply to Garnet-Huntress [2010-04-20 18:20:52 +0000 UTC]

Its not as that high, but quite high.... in an electronical way. But yeah, I was happy to get rid of that thing.
