Description
Lineart byRandom page from a Bionicle GN I colored way back in Dec.
Posting this one just because it doesn't give away any story secrets. I love coloring space scenes. I never get a chance to do it though. Sayger had all those little space clouds in his ink washes. When I saw em I was all "SQUEE!" So much fun.
The planet is kinda weird. The description was that it was all water except for 1 huge continent, and then it described the various areas of the continent. So I just kinda took what Sayger had with the lines and guesstimated
Fun project to work on. Sayger's lineart was a challenge to say the least, but it was so fun
figuring it out.
I got to do a lot of experimenting with this book. Colorwise, I really didn't have any restraints. All I was asked to do was make sure to keep the characters a specific color. That really allowed me to have fun playing with the colors. I seem to do some of my personal favorite stuff when the editors just turn me loose and say "Just have fun with it."
The GN itself will be out sometime within the next week or two. I'll probably post another page or two between now and then.

Thanks. I thought the sea was pretty big myself, but I was just goin by the description in the script. I'm a Bionicle newbie, so I was pretty clueless about what the world actually looked like

If I had the free time, I'd paint space scenes and terrascapes all the time. I love em.

I need to find some good tuts on night skies. I gotta color one for one of our book covers down the road. They look like so much fun. It just looks like you enjoyed the hell out of it.

Depends on the night sky more than anything else. Are you in space or are you on earth? If yer on earth, are you in a city, or are you in a isolated remote location?

Haha, have fun. Hate montage type stuff so much. I'd probably have the impact/moon as a single part of the montage with the characters alone in a different enviroment. Impact will probably have some glowy goodness, so there's really not gonna be a lot to see in the sky itself.
