Description
Still can't seem to get any sleep, but at least I can churn out a drawing or two. That Chisao guy seems like a giant slug. I actually have yet to see his limbs...
Also, when I look at Blue Gilly's face, I'm reminded of Joe Chin for some reason.
And when is Oda going to introduce a betta fishman. That I would love to see.

I wonder if Bartolomio actually does eat people, clues in the name I know, but the last time Oda seriously showed us a dismemberment was when Shanks got his arm bitten off... call me sceptical.

Yip. People say one Piece turned darker and more serious but the Manga had pretty dark stuff from the get go.
It's just taht for some reason they chose for the naime to be all quirky and colorfull and kid friendly... ^.^

That he did. And though technically it doesn't count as dismemberment, there was the little matter of Whitebeard getting half his face melted off.
Still, like most pirates in One Piece, I think Bartolomeo's reputation is somewhat exaggerated.

I had always wondered why Bellamy hadn't ever used his spring powers with his arms.
But yeah, this chapter might not have been the best, but this arc is still in the buildup process; I'm willing to bet it's gonna get good before long.

The only important thing that really happened revolved around Bellamy's new strength and Luffy's identity being revealed by Cavendish. Everything else was honestly just fluff.

Yo mama's fluff! Plus it was Chisao that revealed Luffy's identity, Cavendish was merely within earshot.

True. But do you honestly think that people like Blugilly, Mummy, or Fighting Lion will be extremely vital characters in years to come?

They very well could be for all we know. Look at guys like Bellamy, Koby and Helmeppo, did you honestly ever think much of them to begin with?

All I'm saying is that we're getting far too many new characters to keep track of in this arc. There are like what, TWENTY new people now (don't quote me please, I'm bad at math ), and this arc is starting to feel a little schizophrenic. Besides, we all know who's going to be the four guys who are going into the next round. All of the other characters are just fluff, almost like filler characters in a way.
Burgess, Luffy, Bellamy, and Rebecca. I'm probably going to be wrong, but I'm puttin' up my bet regardless.

But these 4 needs to show her strengh. And you can stand them out, if they win against famous
pirates, martial artist or kings. Winning against non-famous (or giving zero-fucks) enemys insΒ΄t
spectacular.
And I think the chance, that Ricky is Kyros is high, so he is a favorit.
Only a though: King E. the 2. will use his king punch angainst Blue Gilly, and then he got kicked out by Bartelomeo (like a lion, that waiting for his chance), Bellamy wins against Tank, Hack fights Abdullah and Jeet (and maybe wins). If theyΒ΄re pairing against Ricky or fights against themself...I think the winner of B-Block will be Ricky, and he will fights against Luffy or Rebecca, but that only a speculation.

Hey, that's just my bet. I highly doubt Kyros would be involved because didn't they say that he fought in tournaments hundreds of years ago? Why would he still be alive?

That statuate of Kyros had only a sword too, and there was a watcher, that had some memories about
someone in the past who only used one sword like Ricky. ThatΒ΄s why I think it`s him.

But honestly I think this is one of the things that makes One Piece so great. The world just feels like an actual world where people live not a world where *insert main character* does his stuff and others sit and watch.
Maybe most of em are not gonn aplay a vital role but there are so many cool character designes here, I'd rather have this than "generic side character ninja nr 3-4-5 and 6" who you know will get beaten in 2 seconds. Just my oppinion though ^.^

screwinon In reply to MistHarlequin [2013-04-26 02:20:30 +0000 UTC]
Well you got me there. But personally, I never think One Piece should be considered the greatest manga of all time. It's still good, but unless you're Morgan Freeman, there's no such thing as perfect.
Hell, my fave manga of all time is Fullmetal Alchemist, that thing literally changed my life, but I truly believe that the real show of appreciation of a work, is that you can still recognize the flaws, and still enjoy it regardless. Like a small soft spot on an apple.

MistHarlequin In reply to screwinon [2013-04-26 15:17:35 +0000 UTC]
Oh not at all ^.^
It's called what a Wonderfull World - Inio Asano. It's not a shonen Manga though. More of a .... I don't know... slice of life Manga... It's definately wonderfull and touching and has picked me up so many times when I was down and moved me in ways no other Manga (or any form of Literature for that matter) could.
Closely Followed (but clearly second) by the fantastic Stigma - from Kazuya Minekura. This is one Manga that if you ever get your Hands on a hard copy, get ita nd read it. It just works bette rthat way.
Sorry I keep yappin... doe sthis answer your question?

His name is Hack, and no, I checked that.
Besides, his strengh is greater than Arlong`s. He would stand out back in JinbeiΒ΄s flashback, if he was included.
I think he was in the same dojo back then, maybe his sparing partener. (Sorry about my bad english)
And why are Luffy and Chisao included? Is it because Luffy was discovered? XD
