Description
It took me a while, but I finished my tribute for my late dog, Miko. It's been an emotional experience drawing most of this out, as well as sifting through pictures of Miko throughout the years. It makes me wish I had a smartphone earlier in life, but the pictures I'd have of her would require at least a terabyte of storage.

While I am still in mourning, this piece is intended as a celebration of her life. She was always so upbeat despite all the medical conditions she's been through. From parvovirus to her constant ear infections to hematoma to pancreatitis to her enlarged heart, there was little that could slow her down. Even in the last few days of her life, she would always be happy to see me, wagging her tail all the while.

Like Sweet Pea before her, Miko was always there with a smile to help see me through some of the worst times of my life, be it walking, playing, or just crashing on the couch and watching TV together.

I used to think being in "a better place" was strictly a euphemism for heaven, but any place she may go to would be better just for having her.
