Description
Decided to continue learning how to draw that..."painting style without lineart like those epic Magic the Gathering-Fantasy-artists do" (because im always sad about being "cartoon" only!). So this is my second attempt in my life...I will be drawing a series of unnamed dinosaurs to find out new ways in this style.
The next one probably will be a green ceratops with more horns...
PS:
That small protoceratops - i wanted to draw an older version of him, but ended up adding more details and colors...It had a background too, but it looks so unfinished, so i decided to upload a version without it.

Nice! This turned out really good. I normally quite like your line style, but this works quite well too.

Extinct way before the arrival of mammals and it still has thicker facial hair than me. >:V
Really like the new style you're practising, it's something I aspire to tackle myself. Good show!

Whaaaaaat. This is immense!
I've seriously got to start looking up some more art tutorials. There are so many techniques here I wouldn't know where to begin with.
Have you considered doing a process video yourself?

Adding a new style to your mind is fun..and makes art different.
About video...i didn't mastered it enough yet i think. But it's all about drawing exactly the same thing as usual, only without lines + paying attention to shadows and sihlouette.
Next time you will be drawing your character, try to remove lines and see how it looks. If sihlouette and shadow\highlights are correct, it will look nice and understandable even without lineart.
Ugh...at least this how i came to understanding this style. (but this was drawn without lines from the very beginning, the coloring process is exactly the same as on professional tutorials - 1) take a brush 2) start painting here nd there, practice!)

Idea and shading are great. To this "painting" style you only need some texture and more light on the spikes. Great piece, anyway...
