This is a painting of my girlfriend [link] on Omaha beach, Normandy, Its a strange and sobering place to visit and if you did'ent know any better like Ady (since its not her thing) you'd think it was just another lovely beach, we stopped by while touring round France and i dragged her down because i liked the historical element but she could have been anywhere and simply went gathering shells which was kind of kind of refreshing given all the war tourism in the Area.
(and an unintended bonus in the end with the shell thing!)
I think i just wanted to paint something like this in this place.
