This is the deal: I’ve seen a lot of A.I. artwork lately, and while some of the work, especially the forgeries and ultra-Photoshop hyperrealism, there is also a lot of crap out there, especially the animations.

If you’re a skilled programmer who is also an artist, you got it made with A.I. art. But if you’re like me, with art chops, but sort of confined to computer art, and pen and ink on a real table.

So I took a whack. I typed in the Text to Art field, “Saucer debris hurtling to Earth”. Garbage. Okay, “UFO hurtling to Earth”. Better garbage. Type, type, type, crap, crap, crap.

In this image, I’ve morticed the best of my A.I. art at top left. The main image is DBWA, or Decreasing Brainpower with Age. I spent about an hour coaxing the A.I. engine, and an equal amount of time with Vue, C4D, Photoshop, and ZBrush.

There it is. I feel confident that A,I, will never replace my talents as long as programmers are over-confident and smarmy.
