You should be proud, this is a damn fine piece of work. The fur looks very authentic and the slobber..... well, I've never seen pixel slobber of such a high quality!

WOAH O_O Don't wanna be bitten by that dog! *cowers in fear*
The shading looks WAY awesome though! Makes me think of a horror movie! The background is beautiful, especially that moon, so mystical-looking, but then I look down at the dog and THEN I am awed by the sight of saliva... HUNGRY DOG saliva... HUNGRY SADISTIC DOG saliva...
Seriously, awesome job once again! You're amazing! X3

Sweet! Cool rework from the sketch. I like the purpleblues of the bg to the browns and blacks, more saturated, sharper, for the foreground. And yes, you rock! See all that electrically blue spit it's drooling on you? That's why
and as per timezones and whatnot, I think it's appropriate to say a happy birthday to you now, right?

It's awesome, but it looks wierd for this reason:
In some areas there is heavy dithering (like ZX spectrum type), then in some areas there is soft AAing. Wierd. But I love it anyway, +fav

I'm having it hard trying to figure out what I should talk about first .. because all of it is really well done. The fur is excellent -- very, well, "locky" and "clumpy" and you got that look down very well. The slobber is quite abstract -- adds to the menacing look of the beast. (As it is in leo's inking of it -- so he did a good job on it too, one could say.)
The dithering is juicy -- you just have to step back and admire a style like that. Especially w/ your color selection which gives it sort of that "retro" feel once more. (Hmm, I don't know -- I see "pink" nowadays and automatically think "retro".)
Impressive.

Offtopic: 4th word for saliva. I will hang up
I'm feeling retro myself as well And I'm happy you can feel it too. Mixing dithering, antialiasing and retro... OMG! I feel so special now

i do like it! i love his feral attatude, looks like he is a bit crazed! the detail on the slobber is very good and realy sets off the fur!i love the mysterious mountains in the lower part of the piece, the color scheme in the background realy shows depth making the dog apear very close. like one could be howling with him, the hound of the baskervilles firsat came to mind, the bleak landscape and all...

Ahh wow, this is just amazing. The colours are so bright and in your face, which is great to see. Normally for such a type of picture, it would be dark so the colours are really a great change. Love the drool coming from the dogs mouth and his eyes are dark, almost souless looking. It has a sense of evil that I can't quite explain and I think the birds flying kind of add to that effect. Great detailing, over just awesome, as always. So talented
