The difference there is that RD looks like a Dragon Ball Z character who's trying to power up while swearing and Flutters looks like a pony version of one of the hottest women to have lived. So really it's more like the feminine aspect being more prominent then the masculine aspect in Flutters and the opposite going for RD was the major difference. But really, I'm over thinking this. Flutters won because her fans voted more diligently then RD's fans did. Simple.

Actually no people were rigging the votes with the 'vote for pony' script. The Fluttershy fans are more technologically able, that's all.

So the only way FS can win is if her fans cheat.
Pity.

Yeah. But uh... pretty much all the ponies had cheaters running the script. We're technologically minded pony lovers who spend long hours on the internet, what else did you expect, voting manually? Ha.

no actually there is no problem, because if you have a job and have a life then I'm not talking about you and honestly you have no reason to comment because you have your life on check, I'm not talking to you people who chill back, relax, watch some MLP then continue their normal lives, I'm talking to those who MAKE MLP their life

Well that could go for any hobby from what I can tell. True, some hobbies are more productive than others but I think that doing what you love and having fun with it seems like a great way to live life. If people want to make MLP their life, and they are happy, then so be it.
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
RekiKawahar In reply to Pwney [2013-09-04 16:21:53 +0000 UTC]
no it's not so be it, what are they doing to become productive members of anything if all they are doing is watching MLP or any show back to back, not having a job, a lot of those people don't have any kind of social life and they are happy at the age of 18+ with their parent's taking care of them. that's not a happy life no matter what way you look at it, that's just slowly becoming a mna-child

Pwney In reply to RekiKawahar [2013-09-05 07:00:55 +0000 UTC]
How do you know if they have a social life or not? Also if they are a brony then they usually have a social life within the brony community as they are very welcoming and heart warming people. Some of them create art and even earn money in doing so which seems productive to me. While you may not be happy living as a brony, it doesn't mean that the bronies themselves aren't. If someone is happy then they're happy. Simple as that.
It's simply a hobby. I also love to snowboard and I'd snowboard every day if I could. Does that make me pathetic?

I know this because I talk to these people, and you can have a great social life on the internet but that really doesn't count because once you are offline suddenly you are alone again that is just sad plain and simple

Pwney In reply to RekiKawahar [2013-09-05 17:43:56 +0000 UTC]
Perhaps some people don't want a social life. While it may be weird and sad to some people, it might be cool and fun for others. There's this silly game called Second Life where people actually believe their avatar character is literally their second life. Personally I think it's very weird how someone could get so into a game, however, if it makes them happy then who am I to judge?

that is the first time I've heard that argument, but it is already flawed, first off if you were given the choice to either be alone or have a loving girlfriend (or boyfriend depending on what sexuality or gender you are), many friends and always in a group you would choose the second option, it's human nature to want those things, when have you ever seen any one alone meaning no friends, no loved ones, nothing and truly happy about it?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Pwney In reply to RekiKawahar [2013-09-05 18:20:18 +0000 UTC]
Just because I would want to have that loving relationship does not mean that everyone would choose the same path. Some people honestly like to be left alone.
Regarding the second option, I actually prefer not to have tons of friends and I would never want to always be in a group. The more friends I have, the less connected I feel with them. I prefer to have a smaller group of people I can trust.
For your last question, I've never seen anyone who is truly alone, so I don't really see why you are upset if this is such a rare occurrence. I think a lot of these hardcore bronies indeed have many friends in person as well as online. Though I have never seen you in person, would it mean that we couldn't form some sort of relationship over the internet? Even though it's a little different, it's definitely possible to share a bond with someone online. So some of the people you're referring to can theoretically have hundreds of friends on DeviantArt alone. Many people actually meet their lovers online and carry it into the real world. They meet and have happy lives.
Anyways, I still don't see how you can assume that someone has zero loved ones just because they like a My Little Pony comic strip. Or assume that MLP is their lives.

yeah but the difference here is they are choosing to be alone, there is a difference
and I would never want to always be in a group
I prefer to have a smaller group of people I can trust
your own words betray you here
I've never seen anyone who is truly alone, so I don't really see why you are upset if this is such a rare occurrence.
when did I ever say it was rare? I said have you ever seen someone truly alone meaning they have no friends, no girlfriend, no loved ones, nothing have you ever seen someone like that truly happy? they might say they are but have they ever been truly happy?
Anyways, I still don't see how you can assume that someone has zero loved ones just because they like a My Little Pony comic strip. Or assume that MLP is their lives.
well I never said that either, I said that they are people like that and they seem to flock to this fanbase, but did I ever say that everyone who watches MLP is socially rejected? no I didn't, see how you had to skew the facts just to make a point

Pwney In reply to RekiKawahar [2013-09-05 19:33:44 +0000 UTC]
First paragraph: Who are you referring to when you say that they are completely alone and do not choose to live that lifestyle? I've never seen or heard of an actual person with no friends.
Second paragraph: I don't want to always be in a group. I'd prefer to have some alone time. But when I do hang out with friends, I prefer to hang out in a smaller group than some big party.
Third paragraph: It's rare because most people have friends. And by most I mean almost everyone. How would you know if the people who are apparently completely alone are happy or not? You aren't them, so you don't know what they think even if it is "human nature".
Fourth paragraph: They seem to flock to this fanbase? Where is your proof? From what I can tell, you don't have any facts to begin with.

RekiKawahar In reply to Pwney [2013-09-05 19:57:33 +0000 UTC]
I'm not referring to anyone, I've just gave you a question which you are not answering seriously, you keep skipping round it and all it is, is a yes or no question. oh and also because you've never heard of it, it means it doesn't exist?
ok.
most people have friends? we aren't talking internet friends because they are one way to you when you are talking with them and another when your not, not to mention that wouldn't even count
my proof is the people who have told me they themselves are socially rejected that's who

Pwney In reply to RekiKawahar [2013-09-05 20:08:02 +0000 UTC]
If the question was "have I ever heard of a person who was completely alone and happy" then no because I've never heard of a person who was completely alone in the first place. I never said it didn't exist, however, I said that it would be rare if it did.
No idea what you mean in the first paragraph? Are internet friends bipolar? And why wouldn't they count? If you had a penpal that you were writing to for years, would you not consider them a friend?
How could people who are completely and utterly alone tell you that they are socially rejected if they are supposedly completely alone and have no social interaction with anyone?

Hmm. I could see how someone who was already unemployed might decide to watch MLP back to back, but I highly doubt anyone has actually lost their job because they decided watching MLP back to back was more important. There are only so many episodes TO watch, even if they did that it couldn't take up more than three days, it's not like the nevero-ending-list-of-episodes that startreck or dr.who have available. That being said, a lot of us that don't have jobs are probably in school or college, and watching MLP is done on off time entirely unrelated to those things anyway.
