Another Upper Deck Vs. card image. According to the card description I was given, Lex was supposed to be holding a specific jewel. Nobody knew what it was so I guessed at the color.Related content

If someone asked me to do it, I would have just assumed the jewel was kryptonite and made it green. People expect that from him.

It seems to glow in your picture. It's just that when I think of Lex Luthor with a glowy jewel, kryptonite is what I think of. Maybe it's just an exotic variety of kryptonite. Orange-K! It's makes concrete taste like coffee! Just taste that freshly ground flavor in the... ground! Full of DEATH!

Thanks for the kind words! Honestly, half the time I post stuff I'm not really paying attention to all the little hoops they make you jump through. It's old school pencils and ink on paper and then the colored on the new fangeled computer that all the kids are talking about.

I like how the subtle wash of green affects the entire image, but still doesn't violate the values of red in the jewel and tie.

Thanks Michael! As far as the perspective, it's taken directly from the Universal Horror movies. Lex is the worst kind of monster. The low angle makes him look more monstrous.

The jewel is supposed to be this red gem he used to control the injustice league during a storyline in the Morrison era (I think)
Anyways, its supposed to be red, so looks like you did good.

Course, it's also supposed to be as big as a fist (big enough that at one point he belted the Joker upside the head with it), but still a good job.
