I look at other artists whose work inspires me. Dave McCaig is my favorite colorist. Laura Martin is AMAZING, as are Rico Renzi, and Matt Wilson. There's a guy named Kelsey Shannon that will blow you away with his color choices. Painters within comics like Brian Stelfreeze, Dave Johnson, and Adam Hughes that are regular sources of inspiration. Then there's classic illustrators and painters Gil Elvgrin, Edward Hopper, Norman Rockwell, and JC Leyendecker that I look at constantly.
