Description
I have always wanted to draw a ballerina and I finally did. This is another rough sketch. I'm starting to like my works without clean lines. I dunno, I think it just looks nice.

I was looking for what seems to be the most graceful pose and this is what I found. This is just really beautiful.

Ballet dancers always make for beautiful subjects! Great work on the hands!
A note on the ribbons - dancers don't have ribbons going all the way up their leg - that's a strange trend that shows up in drawings of them. If dancers actually had all that binding on their legs, they wouldn't be able to dance the way they do. The beauty of the dancer comes from their smooth lines [of the body], and the more stuff you pile on them, the more you lose those lines.

Very true about ballerinas being great subjects, especially for pose. And thank you for the compliment on the sketchy hands. I've always loved how graceful their hands could be.
Also thank you for the critique. I never knew about the ribbon. I'll take note of that the next time.
