Overview

The Off-Color Opals were the first known members of the Off-color court , formed by Lady Spinel and her Subjects. Comprising of Koroit and Yowah, these twin Opals were originally conceived as Boulder Opals, belonging to Yellow and Blue Diamond's court. Due to a gem forming malfunction, they emerged out of the Kindergarten having a brownish color resembling those of a human skin, with gel-like stripes covering most parts of their bodies. As a result of their appearance, most gems emerged prior to them ran away in fear and disgust, ultimately settling the inner Kindergarten and joining the underground court for protection from the Diamonds.

Originally conceived as a Blue Boulder Opal, Koroit was meant to be a gem servant working for the Blue Diamond Court. As a result of her appearance, she was given an ultimatum, commanding her to be banished from Gem Society. Despite her appearance, she is positive about her appearance, complimenting herself as the most beautiful Opal. She is shown to be curious towards strangers, asking questions more on what they felt living as a defective gem, rather than their appearance. However, she gets annoyed or offended if one asks about how she formed and emerged, often would shy away from such questions.

Yowah Opal (see right side)

Diminutive: Yowah
Height: 8'10
Gem Placement: Navel

Affiliation: Off-Color Court

Yowah was an Opal meant to serve Yellow Diamond and her court. Like Koroit, she was also banished and sent to the inner Kindergarten as a result of her appearance. Yowah is mostly anxious on forming relationships with others, as she only befriends Koroit and not anyone else. Often times, she can be sensitive towards discussions on her appearance and origin, showing no interest of explaining herself. Despite of her difficulty, she can also be protective and caring towards fellow gems, even Koroit.

Trivia:
Their skin color and appearance may be compared that of a human skin color. Hypothetically, if they were to live on Earth, they can blend in with the humans with little effort (although their markings can be visible)
