Like Cooper, Gordon isn't the first Crocker to go to Seaside. In fact, his father, Jeff, is sort of a legend at Seaside. Jeff was a well known baseball player, who won two national championships during his four years at Seaside. Due to his father's fame, people, especially the older professor, expect Gordon to be like his father. However, Gordon isn't very good at baseball. Heck, he isn't very good at walking without breaking something or bumping into someone. Gordon doesn't want to live under his father's shadow. He wants to forge his own path during his time in school. Gordon has no direction in what he wants to accomplish, but with the help of his room mate, Russell, he hopes to find his way in life and succeed in college.
