I have been practicing into drawing from Disney comics, especially the ones featuring Donald Duck and Scrooge McDuck.So here's a small comic based on a joke that has probably been done before, but I felt like it.

Well, in Italy Scrooge Mc Duck is called Paperon de' Paperoni and Donald is called Paperino. This is a case where a translation is impossible.

Yes, I drew a separate version of this comic in French. (only the restaurant's logo) The joke can still work because Donald is still called Donald in this language.
It's a shame that the Italian names make the joke untranslatable. Considering this is my better-received "Disney Duck" drawing and that Disney duck comics are popular among Italians...

Well, the whole name of Donald, in Italian, is Paolino Paperino (Paolino is "little Paul"). I don't know if a joke is possible with it, but I would not like if we were forced to use the original names. It's Ok if we use both the names.
It's the same with Mickey Mouse, that in Italy is Topolino (literally "small mouse"), but when we read some magazines where the title refers to Mickey, we have not got any problem with it.
If they changed the names, as they did with Spiderman, they would seem far from us; we could imagine that Spiderman was really our friendly neighbour when we called him "L'Uomo Ragno". But when we were forced to call him and all the other superheroes with their not translated names, he himself became only American, no more friendly. A stranger.
So, it's all right about this. It's not always possible to translate anything. 
Yep, the Disney-Italia gave the world a lot of memorable characters like Fantdonald (Paperinik or PK, the secret identiy of Donald Duck), Fethry Duck (in Italy called Paperoga, that's Duck, papero + yoga :-D ), Super-Goof (or, in Italian, Super Pippo, the super-form of Goofy, that can change thanks to some special peanuts that grow in his garden) and John Rockerduck (here he is the rival of Uncle Scrooge, not Flintheart Glomgold).

Vraiment pas mal le sketch. Et j'aime bien comment tu t'es approprié les personnages qui fonctionnent super bien avec cette colorisation qui un peu ancienne. C'est très pro.

lol, nice X3 reminds me of when I was a kid, I would always hear people argue about calling it either Mcdonalds, or Mickey D's, so I would daydream Donald and Mickey fighting over the name like bugs Bunny and Daffy duck
