Description
When I was very young I always wanted to have a giant robot warrior that will do anything I tell him to do. It's probably normal for a kid at my age at that time but the twisted part was that I wanted my robot to destroy my city, I don't remember why must be because of all those Godzilla flicks I saw back thenAnyway, it's a pencil sketch colored using photoshop

I used normal pencil & paper but concentrated heavily on digital coloring using photoshop. Most of the technique I use didn't came from books. I learnt from tutorials here in deviantart & other online tutorials like

Wehn I first saw this, I thought it was Jin from MvC and I was like "So thats what his robot looks like". But its not. Very nice coloring.

for me, resembles a capcom game that i didnt know until i saw on the capcoms works artbook... i think the name is Kaio-ki ou somewhat like that... looks like a fighting robots game, just like Cyberbots, and also have a special participation of Jin Saotome... the main char of the serie is just like the one that control this robot, but the robot is different... anyway, i like gigant robots, and thats just perfect for me ^^

did you get inspiration from a fairly unpopular capcom mecha fighting game called tech romancer ? ( i have that game )
the human looks fairly like the main guy from it

This is just one of the coolest damn mecha pictures I've seen in a long while. Have you picked up the game "War of the Monsters"? One of the giant mechs in that looks a little bit like this one.
