Description
Alternative main menu backdrop for the game L4D . . . .Click 'Download' for the full bik file, to use:
Locate your L4D directory which should be here - C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\left 4 dead\left4dead\media
Download my version and rename it l4d_lighthouse_bg01
Place in the above directory, this will overwrite the horrid lighthouse menu. Please make any backups if you want to revert back to the original menu video....

How did you manage to have such a high quality image after converting to *.bik format? I've tried using the defaults in Rad Video Tools with jpgs, gifs, pngs... they always end up completely ruined when converted.

My original experiments had terrible results, ultra low quality.......
In the compression settings click the 'Compress to a data rate' and type in 250000 or above. When you smack the image it it should be close enough to the original quality....

Hmm... I tried what you suggested and I'm still getting extremely pixelated images. Do they need to be a particular format, such as jpg?

Snake Eater is on the consoles and there is no way you can mod it....
