First and foremost, play HL!!!!!!
Regarding the ink its simple really, get some ink, splat it, scan it in and implement into PS..... I have made a few custom brushes from my markings....

yep ! i never had the time! in all the time during the prime of my gaming life i was too occupied being addicted to the online warfare of the Battlefield Games,pwning noobs,blowing up stuff,and trying to get my ranks up,i never stopped for any Single player games,until now....that is,so hopefully ill check them out soon!
as for the ink thingy what u thought of is smart,but im not that acquainted with PS just yet to do custom brushes,let alone anything,besides doodling...
