Well Light is a mediocre and 1 dimensional character who likes killing people for... uh.. idk why he even kills ppl i couldn't make it past the first 2 episodes tbh
Akechi is a deeply developed and complex character when you look beyond the surface, and kills for an actual purpose and is actually a humanised anti-hero with motive that makes sense
so i guess, Light would be a much simpler, much more boring, flat version of akechi
