Description I've never actually played God of War, but Kratos is freaking cool. I actually used an action figure that I have of him to draw this. The drawing is prismacolor pencils on dark paper, 'roided up in Photoshop.

If the Cerberi are decendants of Medusa's(Medusa the only greek goddess that was considered to be more beautiful then Aphrodite and then proclaimed as much and was then turned into a Titan with the body of a snake and snakes upon her head by Aphrodite) then looking them in the eye will get you turned to stone.

I'm not sure about in GOW, but in mythology, Cerberus is the offspring of Echidna, a hybrid half-woman and half-serpent, and Typhon, a fire-breathing giant. But he's sometimes depicted with a mane of snakes, like Medusa. There are a few different versions of the Medusa myth, so I don't know, maybe the same goes for Cerberus. Maybe you know a version of the myth that I've never heard?

Typhon is a Egyptian God and is associated with another Egyptian God Apophis

I've never heard of the Egyptian one. The one I'm thinking of is the son of Gaia and Tartarus. [link]

Tartarus in greek mythology is actually the original version of the underworld before the birth of and occupation of Hades.
Tartarus is also the place that all three brothers throw there father Chronos into
and when i say all 3 brothers i am refering to Poseidon, Zeus and Hades.

Right, but a lot of times in Greek mythology, deities and places are the same thing. Oceanus is the outer ocean, Uranus is the sky, Gaia is the earth, ect. These things are places, but in the myths, they also act like people. Uranus eats his children (just like Cronus), Gaia hides her children, Tethys and Oceanus marry and birth the worlds rivers, which are their children...it goes on and on. And also, these myths grow and evolve over a span of at least 1000 years, so there's a lot of variation and conflicting myths. For example, there is a myth that says Medusa was a human who was cursed by Aphrodite. There's another myth that says that Medusa was born a gorgon, and had two sisters who were also gorgons. See what I mean? Lots of these myths directly conflict with each other.

true enough
however typhon existed back in the days of Kemet long before the appearance of the wadjet
which is a snake like symbol worn by all second and third generation Egyptian deities
this symbol is proof of their Godhood this a known fact not fiction not something i made up.
my suggestion to you is that you talk with someone who actually studies egyptology as they
would be able to tell you this and show you this.

in the Eras after Kemet is renamed Egypt
and among the second generation of egyptian gods there is one in particuliar god that is named
Apophis, Typhon actually goes out of his way to seek him out
and eventually the two become associated with one another.

This is also shown in the studies of egyptology.

Furthermore, the story of Osiris and Set fighting with one another and Set killing his brother Osiris
is so powerful of a story that a cult called christianity rips it off directly from the egyptians
and places it in a book that holds a huge number of stories that are composited from all over the middle east
and these cult figures call their book the Bible. Now of course its not bad enough that they rip the egyptians off but then they go
so far as to alter the stories in ways that are either wrong or off in some manner.

Hey, I'm not saying that you don't know what you're talking about! I mean, you obviously do, and if I offended you, I sincerely didn't mean to. I'm certainly not accusing you of making anything up. All I was saying is that, in the myth that I'm familiar with, Cerebus is the offspring of Typhon, not Medusa. I've just never heard any other version of the myth. I'm sure that there is a Typhon in Egyption mythology, but I'm not nearly as familiar with those stories, so I don't know anything about that particular deity.

As for the Osiris and Set thing...I think "rip off" is pretty strong language, don't you? I mean, all religions are influenced by whatever came before. I'm sure the Egyptian stories were influenced by some prior religion, but whatever religion that was hasn't survived through the ages. Also, the story of Cain and Abel (if that's what you're referring to as "ripping off" the story of Set and Osiris) is part of the Jewish Torah. Abraham, the supposed founder of Judaism, is said to come from Ur, which is a city contemporary with the Egyptian Old Kingdom, so the two stories may actually have a common origin. To accuse an entire religion of thievery is, I think, a little unfair.

uh not unfair at all as a stated matter of fact
many religions have ripped one another off on many occasions

as the old saying goes
"its easier to change the sign on the exterior of the building
then change what is practiced within the building."

That's why they should just make a movie and get it over with! So you don't have to play the game!!

OMG, Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li was the worst freaking thing ever, and I LOVE Street Fighter. Ugh. Maybe Zack Snyder can make us a GOW movie.

Woo! This is badass

You should play GOW sometime. Knowing your tastes in movies and whatnot, you may really enjoy it

I've actually watched people play it and have been thoroughly entertained. I just suck at games, so I wouldn't get far enough to experience any of the plot. I wish they would just make a GOW movie!! (a good one, that is...).

Ah, okay ^^

And, for sure. A GoW movie, if done correctly, would be EPIC! Also, if they made it, they MUST give it blood/gore effects like what you see in 300, Spartacus: Blood and Sand, etc, etc.
