i love 0-3 as well.. I think 4 and 5 just kinda tried something different (well, different in regards to the series) plus 28 Days Later did kinda have a major impact on the zombie genre. Plus videogames themselves have waves. My favs (Silent Hill, Resident Evil and Fatal Frame) kinda had the same creepy direction made even creepier by the choice of camera angles, whereas games today all about about 'being the player' and being able to look everywhere and do anything. In that regard, the RE series adapted, but I am glad that it didn't adapt full-fledge and be just another carbon copy of the other current titles. You still have limited view, things can still jump around a corner and surprise you, etc. LOL I dunno why I'm droning on about it as if I were trying to sell you on it lol XD
