Looks like that's the way she'll be heading. Marvel released a few teaser images for the new "adjectiveless" X-Men book coming out in July. It'll be written by Victor Gishler, who's done some pretty neat things for Marvel, imho. Here's the teaser with Jubes [link]
And I must second marhawkman's request. A vampiric Jubilee sounds like too much fun.

Marvel, like many American comics, works with a floating time line.

True, but this does not solidify her as 14 years of age. Actually, I'd argue that an undefined progression of time makes any characters actual age undefinable.
Jubilee spent at least two years with Generation X, had a short career as an actress in LA and attended High School in her miniseries. In New Warriors she was illustrated with a far more mature physique than before.
In X-Men: The End she's a movie director in Hollywood, looking like she's about 30 years old. There's plenty of other stories where she's seemingly at different ages.
My point would be this: as a fictional character, Jubilee has no actual age, she can be portrayed as being of any age, by anybody.

Which I have said to the artist. If you want to show the character older (which I suggested in the nude picture), I have no problem with that, and in fact linked some pictures of her in the future, etc.
However, both this and the nude shot have her in the classic 90's look when she was DEFINITELY 14.
Listen, I understand it is difficult to judge age when the artists sexualize all of the heroines, but in-universe, she is still a minor.

"but in-universe, she is still a minor.
I agree with that, I don't think Jubilee been aged to 18+ in the mainstream universe yet, even though she's been doing some stuff recently that could imply that she's an adult. But then again, if you're running around fighting ninjas, killer robots and aliens at 14, running a charity shelter when you're under-age might not be a big thing.
However, both this and the nude shot have her in the classic 90's look when she was DEFINITELY 14.
But a picture with Jubilee in her yellow-red-blue outfit isn't an explicit statement of her age, it's a trademark look, a gimmick for recognition and familiarity that she's been wearing in different variations though different stages of her fictional life.
You have to consider the intent of the artist (in fact, I have argue that it's the most important factor to take into consideration); both pictures shows Jubilee with a well-developed figure, quite a contrast to the flat-chested young teen she was in her earliest appearances. What do you think is the most likely scenario, that gb2k's pictures are meant to portray an adult or non-adult Jubilee?
Whatever age she might be in the mainstream comicverse doesn't have any real significance here, imho. Consider this: if a future X-Book would depict the X-Men celebrating Jubilee's 18th birthday, with her wearing a yellow trenchcoat, would that suddenly validate any previously drawn picture with an nude, adult-looking Jubilee sporting her classic outfit?

"Other response: The intent of the artist was to draw an X-Men character in a sexy manner for both this tame version, and the artistic nude drawing of the same character from before. Now, when asked if they knew that the character was 14, they replied with confusion... "
Garrett replied "14 when? When she was created 20 years ago? I think she was 18 then. So I guess she's close to 40 now. Or is she 14 now in a parallel reboot remade universe? What are/were her ages in every X-title and X-show and X-movie, etc?"
I must point out that this probably wasn't so much confusion as a way of saying that Jubilee's age isn't a fixed number that can be applied to every illustration of her. Also, let me reiterate the point that although Jubilee's clothes and hairstyle in Garrett's pictures are mostly identical to that of the young teenage Jubilee, they should not be taken as a statement of her age.
Garrett then continues "Needless to say, she's not 14 in this picture.. -_-" " which pretty much sums up the question of her age in these pictures, yes?

I'd go so far as to say the character hasn't been drawn by the writers as being underage for close to 10 years...
As for the outfit... She wore it in an alternate future where she was explicitly refered to as being over 30! So no it has NOTHING to do with the character's age.
at any rate the pic is definately not of her when she was underage.

@In universe response: Good, I'm glad you understand there.
@Other response: The intent of the artist was to draw an X-Men character in a sexy manner for both this tame version, and the artistic nude drawing of the same character from before. Now, when asked if they knew that the character was 14, they replied with confusion, as they assumed she was an adult, having been around for the aforementioned nigh-20 years. So yes, intent was a question I asked.
As to the hypothetical, there are many "What If?" books and future timeline stories that depict an adult Jubilee, which I have mentioned previously, and that in those she looks like X as opposed to Z for such and such. I believe I even linked a picture of her with the "Next Avengers" storyline. And while she does indeed always sport her trademark yellow trenchcoat, she does not always sport the same hair-due, body-type, or accessories as her classic-minor counterpart. And while one could make the argument that people like the artist are simply drawing her at an +18 age due to her body-dimensions, I would argue that due to the sexualized nature in which most Marvel artist draw female characters, the busty and curvy look for a minor such as Jubilee is not uncommon, despite her young age. There are many examples alone in this stack of comics on my desk.

The broken link? Or her age?
If its the link, it doesn't go anywhere, so, that is proof.
As to her age, considering she has been an orphaned MINOR, then Wolverine-ward, and finally a member of Generation X & attended the Massachusetts Academy in the Berkshire Mountains of Snow Valley (Generation X consisted of young to mid teenage mutants) before she was depowered.
And hell, taken from her Marvel wiki:
"A mutant, Jubilee had the superhuman power to generate "fireworks" of explosive plasma. A teenage "mall rat," she was the X-Men's youngest member in the early 1990s, often playing sidekick to Wolverine. She eventually joined the junior team Generation X."
Teenager much?

marhawkman In reply to DJ-Anarchy [2010-05-16 20:48:22 +0000 UTC]
And the entire staement is past tense.... And no "young to mid teenage" is not an accurate statement. Mid to late teens is more like it.
And "youngest member" doesn't really mean anything beyond the fact she was the only team member not old enough to drink. Heck Wolverine is so old that he could have grandkids older than Jubes.
so no it is not proof that the current version of the character is a minor, only that the character WAS a minor at some point.

time HAS elapsed in universe. Floating timeline means we simply don't know how much. But it would appear to be several years.

DJ-Anarchy In reply to marhawkman [2010-05-17 14:53:43 +0000 UTC]
Several years In-Universe, overall since its inception. Let us take one of Marvel's iconic characters as an example; Spider-man. Created in 1962, he was a Senior in High School, and to date is living on his own and taking College courses whenever he can. As has been stated in his books, he has only been Spider-man for a couple years. Meaning that since 1962, only two years have passed In-Universe.*
Jubilee was created late 1989, and appeared in the Marvel universe In-Universe, much later then the already early 20's X-Men. That means, that if time has only advanced two years since the 60's, at best Jubilee has aged maybe a year, but I doubt it, because they seem to like to keep her as one of the X-children. But, for the sake of argument, say they did age her a year. Whoopy, she is 15. Still a minor.
*(Other examples could be used if you wish)

1: Pete was old enough to get married(at least 18) 30 years ago IRL.
2: Pete was married long enough to father a child and watch the child carried to term.(9 months minimum)
3: Pete stayed married for 2 decades IRL afterwards.
Thus Peter Parker must be in his early to late 20s.

The best your example gives you is at least 2 years. 20+ years of being married doesn't matter, because as previously stated, Marvel uses a floating timeline. That means that despite having fought Doc Ock 400+ times, In Universe, he has maybe "actually" fought him a "few times" in the past, to have everything make sense. How come you think they have their "revamp" issues every few decades? Its so Pete didn't grow up in the 60's, it was actually a few years ago.
Same thing with Jubilee. The only "set" time she has In-Universe is her time with Generation X, which even though was years in our time, was maybe a school year before it was disbanded.
Time does NOT MOVE FORWARD in American comic universes. So unless someone draws a minor character in one of their "future" versions, they are always drawing a minor despite their real world publication time.
