Description
Riley is a US dock tank brought over from America to assist with the war effort. She was meant to go to Southampton docks, but instead ended up at Plymouth where she helped shunt trains together and move military equipment atΒ Devonport. After the war, she was finally transferred to her intended work place at Southampton docks and performed her duties without fuss. Riley ended her working life on British Railways as a shunter at Eastleigh Works, and on withdrawal in 1967 was sold to the Southern Loco Preservation Co. Ltd, and after several years in Hampshire came to the Bluebell along with the other SLP Co. stock, which is now owned by the Bluebell. Following a number of years in use on the Bluebell, she was retired from service in 1983 to await major boiler work. Her repairs were never carried out, but in recent years, has caught the attention of the fat controller who was in need of a small tank engine. He gladly took Riley off the Bluebell railway's hands and had her restored at Crovan's Gate. She now works as an odd job engine, carrying out tasks all over the railway and filling in for any engines if need be.Riley is a proud engine with a big heart. She used to be quite timid and insecure when she arrived in Britain, butΒ thanks to her time with the military, she become confident with her abilities and developed a sense of order about her work. She also became something of a protector, standing up for other engines and making her thoughts known when she has something to say. This new attitude moulded her into a leader amongst the engines at Southampton, and something of a big sister during her time on the Bluebell. She also has a strong will, as proven when she held strong faith in her future whilst being stored out of service on the Bluebell Railway, and as such, is an engine who doesn't give up on a task easily. Whilst this does make her a great worker, this does make her a bit rambunctious and stubborn, quickly making her point known regardless of the situation or of who she was talking to.

Glad she finally gained a face! Looks pretty good. I hope we get to see your other engines, like Alex and Darby, and... that red LMS engine... again soon as well!

that's because they both share the same livery that was worn by the real tank engines

Is this an OC of yours? When I first saw this, I thought you made Brad from the ERS.
