Sam peaked in the door to Baird's room to find him sitting alone. It had been about a week since Dom had past away, but Baird still couldn't believe that he was gone. It seemed like just yesterday they were talking and goofing around. He missed him terribly. Sam knew what was on his mind because it was on her's too. She was worried about him. Sure, Baird liked to be alone most of the time, but this was different. She had heard his muffled sobs, and now here he was; a mess. Baird, broken down, crying. She had never seen him like this before. So vulnerable, his toughened exterior riddled with pain and grief. It made her feel sick. She knew now, more then ever, that he needed someone. Needed to be held, hugged, told it was going to be ok. She approached him, moved with pity. A small, weak, but utterly genuine smile touched his lips. As she stroked his tear-stained face, he said "Sam, I'm glad you're here."
