Yes, there are so many great things about this photo. Beside what you said, there are so many vivid colors but still so warm, great details and textures, so sharp. And you have certainly showed his pride and his attitude. Life beauty!

I like how almost nothing is in the center in this picture. The visual tension is just so...strong in this picture. I just wonder so many things in this picture. Totally wouldn't work in black and white, although I secretly want to see it like that. The colors are so neutral and natural looking. You have gotten my favorite, and my undivided attention. Would love to see more people take photography as seriously as this.

I have a black & white version of this, but somehow it doesn't convey the depth.
In colors anyone can witness the weathered & rugged boat and the man.
Its just a sudden glimpse, in to his world.

That makes sense. I mean, in some pictures you almost need it in black and white because the colors are so distracting. I like photography, but there is no chance I could ever take something like this.

you can actually kinda see water being splashed.dno why.that reminds me of inception when their in the truck and its slow mo.and water is like.yea.
