Working on a huge oak burl.
A bit twisted and crouching torso.
Still waiting for the surface to be finished.
Size 60 x 60 x 70 cm.

The idea is to maintain with the outer shape of the torso along the outer shape and veins of the burl; then breaking up the burl with the inner shape and view into the crouching body. This gives a nice contrast of veins. While the body part shall be polished the head and hanging hair, which is positioned in the original log, shall be only chiseled for contrast purposes.
