Description
torso of a pregnant womansitting in balance
made from yew wood
shot is taken right after finishing and before oiling and waxing
this way the wood is still lighter
I had quite some difficulties to decide how I would use the piece of wood best, as it was rather irregular, with deep holes and a lot of branches coming out. The main branch was the reason for the large pregnant belly and the positioning. I love the vein there.
size is 59 x 25 x 21cm

As well for me in front of the chisel it is still dark! So, I cannot see inside. Nevertheless the branches leaving the trunk give you a good hint how it will look like.
Thanks for the compliment anyway! Stay well!

This is the first time I've seen it from this angle, you're right, the positioning of the knot is perfect! I also like the oval graining over the pubis. A wise angling of your wood. :}
