believe it or not I had more trouble with Piper, i'm constantly struggling to draw her consistently, Aphrodite on the other hand I had so much freedom with that designing her came easy

I imagined his version of Aphrodite as a red-head with eyes as blue-green as the sea she emerged from, but I guess since the ideal of beauty is different to everyone, that explains why she's constantly changing.

oh yeah thats whats great about her, however you imagine her you can't get it wrong. I played around with the idea of her being part redheaded for this piece, might do that next time I draw her.

Yeah I always did kind of imagine Aphrodite in the likeness of Marilyn Monroe, but I love how Rick made her look different to everyone
Especially Percy because there was that moment in the Titan's Curse where she looks like Annabeth

That bit in the Titan's Curse was so cute! Ah Percy you airhead, Aphrodite literally shoved his crush on Annabeth right in his face and it still took him another 2 books to get it -3-
