um, scenery practice? I don't like how dark the shadows are, but meh.

I need to practice painting water more often.

i like the color i used for the sky, though. looks more like a realistic sunset than what i normally try to do. I don't like how the trees turned out, but i know what i did wrong was that I painted the leaves first (as one big round blob) THEN added the branches, then painted the individual leaves. I should have done the branches first, then added leaves (both behind the branch layer and on top) to give it a more organic shape.

I also need to work on background composition and relative tree size. those are some awfully fat trunks for what seem to be short trees.
