The idea is just great.
It makes me think how we humans are actually quite invisible in front of the nature.

You have an amazing and talented eye for perspective. This shot really portrays the freedom felt when walking without restrictions; free to wander over the textures of the earth. Stunning clarity, excellent foreshorting, great background. Overall, gorgeous work!

wow, i really like hoe it looks deep. thats something i need to work on in my own photography, plus its kinda surreal how it looks like there are blue clouds on a white sky in 1 part

great idea including the flip flops! i think i'd like it a little better if that one wasn't cut off by a tiny bit... but i'm not really sure. either way it looks great though, good shot!

Wow!!! Great long DoF!! There's so much detail and color here And the broader adds a touch of organization too^^ You really know what you're doing XD (tehe, I'm good at identifying elements of art, but to be honest I'm only just starting with photography
How did you achieve such a shot?!?
I'm guessing this was with a manual camera, since there's no little list of thingies that usually are off to the side. I know alittle bit about the manual controls on my camera, but I'm still screwing it up quite a bit XD So how were you able to mantain such detail, close and far away, while keeping a long DoF? Hehe
sorry, I'm just really impressed
)
This almost reminds me of a fish-eye lens, the way the DoF is, with such great detail near and far. The textures in the vegatation and clouds really pull in the eye^^ I like the rocks out there too, they can act like a leading line. The shoes have a nice prespective to them and can be leading lines as well^^ And dispite them being more centralized, you have more then enough nice textures and presceptive to make up for it XD PLus, it's kinda an advantage being place where they are to help emphasize the prespectiveness of the picture^^
It's also cool that the picture is seemingly sectioned into thirds: Grassy area, Sea area, and Sky area. That's great composition
Really I have nothing bad to say about this; thanks so much for sharing!! You're really great at photography (hope to hear from you agian XD)
~~~
Hope I helped some^^ If you have anymore questions or comment just ask. Sorry it may, and is XD, taking so long; I have a ton of other people to answer to. Thanks for stopping at my forum
Feel free to check out my gallery and Comment on my pictures; it's always appreciated^^ and so would be the pageviews XD (hehehe, and thanks to anyone who watches me; you know who you are! XD)
crikey....thats like the best comment i have ever received....all the details to why u liked it!
and i will level with u i dont know anything about manual settings either....for me...its a matter of taking several shots of it with different settings & picking the good one at home
it was taken with a Canon 350D DSLR, from memory....I THINK...not positive...it was 250shutter speed/f6.0/ISO 100
sorry i cannot be of more help to you since its going back a few weeks now, but all i have done with my photography is trial & error....try different manual settings for each shot & try to remember them for the environment your in, unlike myself
thanks alot for taking the time to write that....the fav is also appreciated!
How cool is this shot! I love the angle, and the sandals ("thongs" to you Aussies, I know ). It's just really fun and laid back. I think you could probably sell this to a tourism agency, to be honest. It's really good.
Where was this? I'm going to move to Australia in time (Melbourne) and am trying to stock up on knowing all the hot spots to visit.
it was taken at Rottness Island, Western Australia....great place to visit if you are into scenery, quiet beachs & snorkeling etc...takes about 30mins by ferry from Fremantle. Great day out
