(The Glynda-chess-problem is a reference to several comics depicting the scenario as Ozpin and Glynda playing a game of chess when he decided to use those pieces for relics.)

it was a common joke at the time that ozpin was using glynda's chess-set in vol1. i added that blake liked her 'pony' chesspiece and kept it.

As for her parents... Well, have we seen ANY parents? We know of at least two. Weiss' father, and Ruby/Yang's father.
