Heyo I'm back watching anime. After last (Summer 2018) season's poor options where I didn't have anything good to watch (besides Jashin-chan), there seems to be a nice selection this time around.
Recommendations:
- Sword Art Online: Alicization
Apparently this is known to be one of the best arcs of SAO, the light novel. Episode 1 has been decent. Characters with a little more depth, actions with a little more soul, etc. Some explanations and theory was cringey, especially around the new technology. Pacing was a little slow at first, but it catches up. Oh and it's a 50-minute first episode, so I'm a little tentative about the quality of episode 2 and onwards. There have already been some poor artistic rendering in ep 1, which is par for the course for A1 Pictures.
- Irozuku Sekai no Ashita kara
My first impression was that this had a lot of Studio Ghibli influence. In particular, the opening sequence has a super-ghibli moment in it, which I enjoyed. The soundtrack sounds like Flying Witch, which is another one of my favorites. Story flow is super smooth, and intriguing. I can not recommend this enough - if there is only one anime you watch this season, Irozuku is the one. Likely to become one of my top favorites.
- Release the Spyce
Oh my god this is dumb and cute in the best ways. It's like... I don't know. The spyce, the spies, the cop-wannabe... Watching and enjoying this anime probably requires absolutely no brain power. It's pure stupid and comical. I would classify it as a Show By Rock title - don't think too much, and don't be too invested. It's good.
- Tonari no Kyuuketsuki-san
Again... dumb and cute in the best ways. Not so much hilarious, but its enjoyable. The plot is a breeze, and the characters basically have no substance whatsoever. It's all about the cute.
Ouchies:
- Himote House
Thought this might be an interesting series by the synopsis, but turns out it's a fully 3D-animated 12-minute series. And it's not even good animation/voice acting. Go watch RWBY instead.

I wasn't really interested. Is it good? I might add it to my roster.

I read the manga and it was entertaining, seeing Goblin Slayer being a badass and interacting with people. The anime adaptation doesn't look bad
