Thank you for coming along with me on this crazy journey of Untitled Story, henceforth known as Happy End.

I originally intended Happy End to be a 20-strip long story about Ruby and Yang finding Weiss and Blake and getting together after the 6 months they'd been apart. In the beginning, Weiss was the one who would be pranked by Ruby and Yang, and Blake would come in at the end. The story evolved over time as I got different responses than I had expected from you readers - and I really appreciate that.

Having said all that, why did I make this series?

For one, I had spent most of my summer NOT drawing NxR, or anything RWBY related. So when the Vol. 4 outfits were released, I decided I had to start somewhere. My 4komas in the early days were how I learned the intricacies of their outfits - drawing them over and over helped me memorize what they wore. I knew that if I was ever to draw more 'up-to-date' RWBY stuff, I would have to learn to draw their outfits by heart rather by reference, so I embarked on this adventure.

Happy End was also meant to be a practice for facial expressions and body composition, as I experimented with a variety of expressions that I haven't had the chance to use before. I suppose it was also an excuse to draw team RWBY crying, and to draw Penny alive and kickin' again. Sadly, I did intend to include Pyrrha, but I failed to find a way to include her that made sense and my Patreon supporters voiced their opinions on the matter. But know that she is in all of their hearts - and ours as well.

As the story grew longer and more elaborate, growing nearly 300% the intended length, it meant I began to lose track of the story. So, here is the briefest of summaries I can give to help settle some of the stranger parts.

Weiss was having a birthday party, and she was secretly organizing a special party for team JN(P)R and RWBY. Through unknown methods, she called for the hit on Ruby by the White Fang. At the same time, she sent Penny on a recon mission to watch over the hit to make sure Ruby was unhurt. Blake intercepted the message, and carried out the hit as a double-agent. In order to locate Ruby, she contacted Yang, who was reluctant to speak to Blake in the beginning, but having heard someone had called the hit on Ruby, decided immediately to help Blake. Ruby was originally alone, without knowing that Yang was nearby. As Yang approached Ruby, Penny was keeping watch and immediately understood the situation. Knowing this, Penny revealed herself to Ruby, and explained the situation, to which Ruby suggested a body-switch. That was arranged easily, so the Ruby you see in the first strip is actually Penny already. Penny plays along until they are put into the plane, which from prior arrangement Ruby would be piloting. From there, they arrive, to Weiss' astonishment that all three of them had arrived together. Weiss was hoping that upon retrieving Ruby that she could gain easier communication with Blake and Yang, rather than have to rely on other methods to secretly bring Blake and Yang to her party. This is why she is so surprised seeing Blake and Yang, and Jaune peeking his head from the ballroom is what sets her off. The rest, as they say...

Once more, thank you for joining me on this stupid-crazy story. 58 pages of drama, twists, twists, drama, twists, twists, ... twists, and drama. And a final twist: REN IS MARRYING NORA OMG NOT A BIRTHDAY PARTY AT ALL WHOAAAAAA
