The coloring on this is so smooth! I love how his eyes seem to glow while he's covered in a shadow!

How did you learn to draw snakes and nagas? Did you use references for some time? Do you still use them? What should I look up to achieve a similar effect in my own drawings?

When I first started drawing them, I definitely used refs of snakes, mostly for how they position their coils. Then, I just started experimenting from there. I still use refs every now and then, but now I'm more confident drawing them without. X3 I would suggest looking up images of coiled snakes. ^^
