Description Just started learning 3D. This was a project I gave myself to learn. Modeled and rendered in FormZ.

Wow, that is amazing detail. I am not familiar with Form Z. The only 3D programs I have are Bryce and Poser, but I was reading up on Maya and 3d max. Is Form Z easy to use?

Great job on your lightsaber!!

Yeah. I played around with maya but it was hard for me to pick up. The industrial designers at my work use formZ so I gave it a try. It has it's limits but it is easier to learn (for me anyway). I want to jump to maya or 3Dstudio later.

I should check it out then. I am not the most computer savy person and I find that I would rather work with a user-friendly program with limited capabilities than have the top of the line program that I can't make heads or tails of.

Like Photoshop, I have that program, but I find it very difficult to use. For most of my photomanipulations I will use Microsoft Digital Image Pro 10. It probably doesn't even have 10% of the capabilities of PS, but it is so easy to use. And it allows you to do most of the more popular fuctions of PS.
