I'm disappointed with the character designs in MKX specifically the women. Pants?! Boo pants! Where are the stripperific outfits?!
Anyway, I've been sitting on this sketch for a year cuz I wasn't really happy with it. Finally got around to making it decent yesterday and finished it today.

Well.. I guess MK is trying to grow up and be taken more seriously in the competitive fighting scene.
I think MK9 still had a more cheesy feel to it. Slutty costumes, over the top injuries and stiff animation. MKX toned down the damage look and has smoother animations. Just a shame they had to lose the sluttiness too

The Fighting Game community NEEDS to grow up and be less easily distracted with sexy costumes. I mean, seriously? 'To be taken seriously, stop wearing revealing clothes!'? What kind of bullcrap rule is that? A quality man can see through the slutty costume. If you cannot see through it and instead get distracted... It's just not good, it's the player's fault, not the character or game design.

I didn't mean by the players themselves. Most videogame players are dudes and wouldn't have a problem with it.
I meant it's harder to be taken seriously by mainstream crowds if the characters are too slutty. I remember an episode in Big Bang Theory where they showed Soul Calibur 4 and Ivy's costume there and how it objectifies women.
