Description
Greek God of Ferryman and the dead. One of the several children of Nyx goddess of night and darkness. He is a psychopomp to the Greek afterlife. He guides the newly deceased through the rivers of Hades.

A coin to pay Charon for passage, usually an obolus or danake, was sometimes placed in or on the mouth of a dead person. Those who could not pay the fee, or those whose bodies were left unburied, had to wander the shores for one hundred years, until they were allowed to cross the river. In the catabasis mytheme, heroes – such as Aeneas, Dionysus, Heracles, Hermes, Odysseus, Orpheus, Pirithous, Psyche, Theseus and Sisyphus – journey to the underworld and return, still alive, conveyed by the boat of Charon.

He is stern but kindly and refined, but he also has lust for riches. He guides souls with his boat paddle. He fought Heracles with that paddle, but was overpowered by him.

Though when Christianity took over, he started to notice fewer and fewer souls came to Hades. He doesn't like Yahweh because of that.

He kinda likes Charlie, but hates Angel Dust because one time Angel tried to seduce him and he Smacked him with his Paddle 50 feet away into the river styx.
