“Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn" ("In his house at R'lyeh, dead Cthulhu waits dreaming.")

The Great Dreamer. Cthulhu and the great old ones are Eldritch gods (no relation of the “von eldritch” family) of horror and fear and existential dread, coming from a realm unnamed “which some call the Far Realm”.

Cthulhu’s influence has molded existential fear into humanity and communicate with humans with psionic powers.

His Kingdom of R’lyeh sunk into the Pacific ocean, but R'lyeh has risen from the ocean for brief amounts of time. However, it is fated that R'lyeh will rise from the ocean permanently and Cthulhu shall awaken.

His minions called “Deep ones” worship him and his horrifying pantheon. Cthulhu is not the most powerful of the pantheon but he is very well known.

He and his patheon took hold of an already twisted and messed up man. “Howard Philips Lovecraft” aka “HP Lovecraft” making him have constant nightmares and making him write novels. He then died Mysteriously (Coincidence, I think Not!)

Not much is known about him and the great old ones, but their cult is rising.

The old ones are on the rise.
