Hasbro is planning to change Derpy's name or to take her away from us.Hell no.
I personally find it quite hypocritical how FiM talks about being yourself when Hasbro is putting Derpy in danger because she spoke and because she was acting.... derpy.
I think the people at Hasbro don't know what "Derp" means (slightly awkward, bit clumsy) compared to "Ditzy" (airhead, idiot).
So yeah, my PSA.

I didn't know that Hasbro was taking away Derpy, why exactly? She's an awesome character! I feel as if more characters like her should be able to exist. With more children in this world with disabilities, Derpy Hooves should be proud to say that they are not the only ones. I think it would be a good idea to create a project called the "Save Derpy Hooves" for all of the mentally challenged people that need their hearts touched by happiness.

I doubt they will, she's one of the most popular characters in the show, one of their biggest money makers, I don't think they're taking her out. And they didn't "change" her name, they just cut it out of The Last Roundup and changed her voice to be more feminine, she still acts derpy, and has a slightly derpy tone in her voice.

Yeah it wasn't Hasbro that took her away it was the people that got offended on behalf of those like me that weren't offended. I hate people that think disabled people need protecting from the world.

i think it comes from them never letting us grow up in their conceptions of us. i get frustrated with this all the time, the patronizing attitudes that you find among "normal" people whom think themselves superior.
