So. I am doing a Celty cosplay at animazement.Here is the helmet. It needs a little bit of patching and several new coats of gloss, but whaddaya think?

Your helmet looks amazing! I wanto do the same cosplay, bt it's my first time making a "prop" like this, do you mind if I ask what materials you used and if you think it would be a manageable task for me?

Hey! Thanks for the interest!
I am actually working on a walkthrough on how to make things like this soon, for a request for someone else. I used a real helmet as a base, and built up the ears with a frame of blue insulation foam. From there, I built it up with other bits and pieces and various types of putties. It took about 20 hours of work, overall.
It would be a hard first thing to make, especially is you did not have an available helmet to base it off of, but it is probably doable.
If you do not want to spend as long as I did on mine, paper mache is a common material for helmets, but without very careful sculpting, it will not look as good.
