haha and you've pointed out my fatal flaw! The painting is always the part that bothers me the most honestly. I've never been comfortable painting anything even though I've gotten better recently, I still dread doing it. I love making stuff but all the tail-end work is what scares me. This one should be pretty easy I think, its not like theres a lot of nuance in the Timmstyle universe as far as coloring goes anyhow so I should be okay.

Still debating whether or not I should make a pumpkin accessory to go with him.

I'm the same way with painting, Its why i go out of the way to cast every part I can in color and then just add a bit of surface shading and detailing. Painting large areas of color that have to meet cleanly up against other colors is really hard, My Vince sculpt has a flamethrower prop that's a really simple design but even so masking off all the areas to airbrush and getting it all to come out clean is maddening.

A pumpkin accessory would be pretty cool

I've thought about doing colored castings but the problem arises when the castings develop and have holes in them after I pull them from the pressure pot and having to fill them in with a white epoxie putty or something else. I use very small very basic slit line molds and in the past I didn't make the molds with enough allowances so when things settle in and come out of the pot, there may not have been enough resin and I get holes in the backs of the pieces. At the core we are doing essentially the same thing, but the types of molds you make being multipart and having channels and such built in to them allows for air to escape more efficiently and I would image you don't have problems with holes like with doing a basic slit line mold. Over the last year or so I've actually started making the molds bigger so I can cut reservoirs into the tops that hold a little bit of extra resin so when things start to setup and compact a bit once the air is forced out, there is extra resin to fill in the mold to avoid getting holes in things.

Oh man I've wanted to try and get into using an airbrush but I don't know if I'm patient enough honestly haha! I used one once like 20 years ago and I just could not get the hang of it, but who knows, maybe I'll get adventurous again and give it another shot.

I've got to be honest, after seeing what you've done with your work, its made me really want to try my hand at something larger scale like what you do. I hadn't even thought about doing large scale dolls but once I came across your work and the other artists on deviantart and seen some of what was possible and what they are doing, it was just amazing! I'm still letting some ideas gestate on what I want to do and how to approach it, but at some point I am going to try something a bit more advanced and articulated along the lines of your Steve dolls, or maybe something a bit more fantasy based, still trying to decide though.

Again thanks for the kind words, it is appreciated for sure.
