I watched the premier of a cartoon called Steven Universe last night. It's like an American made magical girl sorta thing based around gems. It's pretty cute and I love how the gem girls are different from an anime perspective. They are flawed and diverse. I also like how they're caring of Steven instead of thinking of him as useless they are eager to train him and be his family after Rose passed away/disappeared..whatever happened to her.
My fave is Amethyst. She's laid back, sorta less attentive with looking pretty, and loves food/sleep.

I drew her in her promo outfit. Her design has changed a tad with the release of the cartoon. Pearl had the most drastic design change and Amethyst seemed to have the least change.
