Fun trivia fact: Professor e gadd was originally supposd to reveal, after Luigi beats king boo in "Luigis mansion: dark moon" that he is actually a ghost himself, and that he was the one who trapped Mario in the painting due to a grudge against him. Luigi would then have to fight him to beat the game.

For some odd reason, when I thought about a third installment of the series earlier, I thought that the plot might be about a genderbent alternate universe and how they have to get back to the normal dimension.
