Description
I am at a loss.My desire is gone,
But my choices seem boundless,
Bound only by my desire,
Which is lost.
I’ve lost it, and it seems far far away,
Far from my grasp,
Far from my mind’s eye.
What I am trying to choose,
I cannot tell.
It is hidden from my sight,
Hidden from my common sense.
Common sense would say I am seeking a boy,
A man even.
But my conscious mind wants nothing to do with it.
He would be a distraction, a detraction.
I seek a companion, anyone willing to hear my side.
I don’t think that’s too much to ask.
I don’t think.
I can’t think anymore.

awww... the human state of being alone... our minds seek out to find this perfect world so that it may be free and not limited by the emotion of our feelings... but our heart dies a little bit each day where we are in this perfect world... but when we are in love our mind is not free to think... and so puts thoughts of distrust in our heads... what it is to be in love is to be at war... with a lone state of mind, and a broken willed heart...
i love the poem... but i feel you used more words then you needed to... more was said and it took a lit bit away... i can't say if would be better with less words but something just tells me i would like it better that way... but its still great, don't take this as an attack on your style, you don't have much poetry up so i can't base this too will with your personal touch... i would love to read more though... and maybe some happy love poems.... :]
deep inside i believe we are all made to love someone... we just have to learn to get over ourselves and just fall for life... only then can we truly fall in love...
