Description Painter 9

The four of us lived in a house in Maplewood.
I used to hang fish from the ceiling above the
couch that I slept on. Those were good times.
I like to remember them.

How'd you get the paint drop effect? Is it a brush or something? Cuz it's really cool.

One of Swabodas textures that I manipulated. I will miss him. He went to graduate school. I hope he does well.

I dig the subject matter, but, I love fish

I like the look of the water on it, it's like it got painted 95% finished, you took off quick, leaving the painting by a window and it rained and then dried. Then the wind blew it off the windowsill, and scratched it up. There's so much history it's like there's a story with that too. It's really a rad idea. I like how you combine the grungy-type marks with really interesting paintings, does justice to both.

I'm always stolen by art that has fish in it. Always. This is no exception to the power that fish have over me and I'm glad for that.

I really like this. Not just because it has fish in it, but because I'm impressed with how you've captured the texture of natural media.

Why did you hang fish from the ceiling? Were they secretly dreamcatchers?

I have to admit I've always had a love for fish as well. I used to paint them and crustations with watercolor. I gave all those paintings to my father tho. The fish I hung were actually oragami, I dunno why I hung them up. They were like a mobile the way i kept them above my head near the window. The way one would keep for a child or something.. I dunno, I think I just found it comforting. anyway been thinking of doing more fish paintings but i dunno I'll see. thanks so much for the comment! it's good to know others are interested in things that I am. It makes me feel just a tad bit less crazy sometimes.

Hehe, fish have a way of gently making you crazy. I don't think it's their fault, but I do think it's their nature. I think I love them because they are probably the closest things to aliens we will encounter for a very long time, ( I think it's quite arrogant and boring to assume we're the only life in the entire universe).

Especially those fish in the crush depths - those things are insane.

I quite often have dreams involving fish and I have proclaimed them my guardians. I suppose it's a bit like the Shamans and their totem animals - some people have hawks, others have dogs and I have fish.

Origami fish? Sounds awesome. Hehe, if you start drawing something fishy and you feel like it, send it over to me or summat and I'll add to it - I've had an artistic block for what feels like forever and I could do with having a fun little project to work on.

forever!!
