I feel like I've always seen him as an upgraded Megatron. But at the same time, he's a completely different character. In the end, I'll always consider Galvatron to be a "Megatron 2.0".

Well, you're free to feel that way.Β Both the Aligned and IDW continuities offered up the angle of old Galvy as a completely separate character from Megs, with no connection to him or Unicron.Β I'll be honest, I found that to be a refreshing concept, though that could be because I got a little tired of the rinse-&-repeat of Megatron turning into Galvatron in every series he was in.Β Plus, as a friend pointed out to me, people don't normally rename themselves.Β Again, you're free to prefer the "Megatron 2.0" angle if you want.

Thanks, man! It was a lot of fun to paint/draw. And to answer the other post, it took me roughly.. 2 weeks? I worked on it off and on when I have free time, so it's really hard to give an accurate time frame.
