Description
Song: "Nemo"- Nightwish (m.youtube.com/watch?v=AGWBmZnZ… )I finished this drawing yesterday.Is the first time i've drawn Demona and is my second Gargoyles fan art.I'm sure it's not perfect but i used it as a practice for drawing the characters of the show,i'm pretty new on it.
The pose was based on the worldwide famous sculpture "Angel of Grief" by William Wetmore and as reference i used the cover art of Once by Nightwish (one of my favorite bands).I've searched for a picture of her like this on internet but i've got no results,so i decided to create my own one.
The reason behind this is that i felt that the song Nemo kinda fits Demona well,she may be full of anger but at the same time she's broken inside,lost and loveless.She can't find selflove and throws this frustation into others.She needs to dream again.In fact,the name of the deviation is just a variation of one of lines from the song's chorus.A detail that's not in the music album cover nor in the original statute is her crying.If you look closely you can see her tears dropping.
Another song from the same album that fits her & Goliath well is "I wish i had an angel"

I like it, although I would suggest to mute the colors a tiny bit, colors themself do carry emotion and the brighter the color the happier it tends to be. My suggestion is to dull the colors a bit, although not too much, in order to help convey the sadness.

That's a good suggestion... i used the colors the character actually has and the ones from the album cover's but maybe i could do one more version "manipulated" (with some grainy/less saturated effect)🤔..

This is such an emotional piece I love it. What a lovely backstory though, it really fits well with this piece. The colors you chose also are great! The provide a lot of contrast, especially with the shadows of the stone and arms as well as the highlights! Awesome work friend!!!

Thank you so much!!!❤️❤️I surprisely liked how it ended, usually manage proportions and shapes with such a simple drawing software like that is kinda hard (specially after a long time without doing it digitally)
