Well, this started out as doodling while I was 'studying' for exams. It accidentally progressed from there...
Anyway, here's to my favorite 'natural' disaster, Godzilla. (My second favorite disaster being the end-of-the-world asteroid

Good job. But officially this monster - Zilla not Godzilla, Emmerich took because of the Godzilla of the divine part, and left only the animal.

Godzilla 2014 was okay. But I agree with some people he was far too fat, and you see his feet?Β I'm surprising he didn't fall over.
But still the 98 and the rest of the Godzillas should be kept seperate, just keep them apart and everyone else will be happier.

Awesome work! Been a Godzilla fan my whole life, I love the Japanese one, but I have always preferred the look of the American one more, both from the movie and animated series. Calling it Godzilla or Zilla, all the same to me in the end.

Um, everybody. Dude, I'm just saying that this thing has been renamed and re-trademarked as Zilla by Toho, who now owns the character and design since 2003, so it's completely pointless and incorrect to call Zilla "Godzilla" when it clearly showed there's absolutely no resemblance to the original, and furthermore, this is a completely different kaiju.Β There's only one Godzilla, and that's the original Japanese kaiju.

"Zilla", "tuna-head", "GINO", any of these except "Godzilla" and "American Godzilla", both names belongs to the original Japanese kaiju and Legendary's Godzilla, which is the name(s) Zilla doesn't deserve to carry because he takes the "god" out of "Godzilla". Dude, this character is now trademark as Zilla, and it shall forever be called that, there is only ONE Godzilla, and that's the original Toho kaiju.

No, his name is Zilla, you want me to show the trademark to tell you to deal with it? Man, are you so wrong, it's like saying "a rock with mud on top is an ice cream Sunday, no one cares", it's just dead wrong, you may not realize this, but trademarks are pretty much important. If Toho renamed this character "Zilla", then guess what? It pretty much matters what they say, it's not Godzilla, it's Zilla, and the trademarks proves it.
BTW, everyone cares about Zilla's trademark name.

He's telling the truth. While I'm not I'm the zilla hater category, I do know that Toho, the company with the official legal rights to the king of monsters, have legally renamed 'Godzilla 1998' to 'Zilla'

I didn't say Legendary OWNS the title, but the "American Godzilla" title belongs to Legendary's Godzilla better because he's the real American made Godzilla, and because the new one is faithful to the original, it feels like the "AmeriGoji" is much more fitting to the Legendary design. I don't care about the title either,Β the characterΒ may have changed looks for the last 60 years - fav.me/d704rsoΒ -, but I still call him by his name "Godzilla" because it's the same character we all know in love.

No, Zilla is the official trademark that was given by Toho since 2003 because Zilla had no resemblance to the original Godzilla character in any wayΒ and was better off as a different character entirely.
