Description
The Element Of ForgivenessForgiveness is a key element in friendship, because whether or not you want to, you'll end up quarreling. It's just a natural part of any relationship, and you'll do things to each other that you'll end up sorely regretting, but true friends should always be able to pass by these things.
If Discord was a part of the Elements Of Harmony he would undoubtedly be forgiveness in my opinion, which would represent his relationship with the bearers of harmony, especially Fluttershy.
Discord's symbol is a green swirl, representing his love of chaos.
(Could be based off "Keep Calm And Flutter On" or "Broken Spirit"--whichever you choose)
This is absolutely my headcanon and my hope is that there will need to be a seventh element (or perhaps one to fill for Twilight) and Discord will be it.

Honestly, I think Discord would be a great element of harmony. Harmony means peace and order, not identical life. Starlight Glimmer showed that too much harmony is a bad thing to have in life, but with a little bit of organized chaos, people become people. They make people different and support friendship, I think Discord would provide a great viewpoint on friendship.

I actually did a thing where Discord used to have 2 elements as did Luna and Celestia. His were laughter and loyalty (the latter being the thing that kept him in check until he went evil).

This is a perfect concept. Even though I think they have to personally exhibit their element (AJ not telling lies, Dash staying loyal to her friends)... I suppose in order for this element to reveal itself, Discord would have to forgive...himself?

In our roleplay on Formspring, we have two universes. The Canon Equestria and a darker version called Nequestria.
While Nequestria lacks Elements, it does have Paragons of Harmony, who mostly coincide with the Elements.
The key difference is Nequestria is scientific, not magical. Dusk Gleam (N-Twilight) is the Paragon of Forgiveness, not Magic.
